Friekens Festival 2009
live broadcasting.

This year we are streaming again live from the Friekens Festival.
We are busy with some new stuff to improve the quality and provide new things.
Some stuff at the list that are already sure:

-UMTS uplink (backup internet connection for streaming)
-backup stream (for if the main stream fails)
-2 microwave connection points connected to the DSL uplink (picture below is from last year)
-indoor network provided by a 16 x 16 slots waveguide antenna
-extra hard discs for 24/24 media recording (for broadcasting it again at a later moment)
-HD video camera

Villa Friekens Myspace page for latest info

Webplayer
We have added a webplayer that plays our webradio stream inside a browser, no shit....
You can start/stop that's all and that's all you need.
Use your own volume control you don't get it from us, virtual volume controls are expensive you know......

Webplayer

This is a Java applet player, so your browser needs to use/allow java.
We don't use a flash player, because flash doesn't support ogg format streaming media (the bastards),
Why we use the ogg format

Radio offline? NO WAY!!!
The website says the radio seems to be offline.
but this is NOT the case..

There is actually a bug in the website that happened while we moved from servers.
Its on the to do list to fix it..

For now: This page does provide correct information.
